Justo Barbosa

Justo Barbosa, 70, of Clifton, passed away on September 8, 2020. Born in San German, Puerto Rico, Mr. Barbosa came to mainland United States and settled with his family in Passaic. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served honorably during the Vietnam War. Mr. Barbosa was employed as a compounder with SmithKline Beecham Co. in Clifton before his retirement. He has been a resident of Clifton for the last 15 years.

          Mr. Barbosa was a faithful member of the Mission Christian John 3:16 Assembly of God on Madison Street in Passaic.

          He was predeceased by his parents, Alfonso and Candida (nee Carbonell) Barbosa; and one sister, Maria Ayala.

          Survivors include: his beloved wife, Carmen Delia (nee Jusino) Barbosa; two sons, Christopher J. Barbosa and Eric Barbosa; one granddaughter, Phoenix Barbosa; and his siblings, Jovita Cancel, Maria Barbosa and Celso Barbosa.

          Visitation will be held Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. A service will be held during the visiting hours on Friday Evening from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Please CLICK HERE to view the service via livestream. The funeral service will be held Saturday 9:30 am at the funeral home (which can also be viewed via live stream by clicking the link above) followed by the interment at East Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clifton. Condolences and sentiments to the family may be left on the Tribute Wall of this online obituary.  Due to current restrictions on allowable numbers inside the funeral home, it is requested that those attending the visitation be courteous by limiting their time inside in order to allow others the opportunity to pay their respects as well.
