Michael P. Kanuch, 63, of Pompton Plains, passed away on January 13, 2022.
Born in Glen Ridge, Mr. Kanuch was raised in Pompton Plains and graduated from Pequannock High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force and went on to enjoy a rewarding early career in the printing business, which he truly loved. His work brought him to Olivebridge, NY where he lived for fifteen years, then lived in Kingston, NY for a few years before returning to Pompton Plains. Mr. Kanuch was an avid fisherman, especially trout fishing and enjoyed knife collecting. If something piqued his interest, he fully invested his time and energy in researching the topic and learning all that he could about the subject be it how to make the perfect cup of coffee with special beans and grinders or how to put together the perfect backyard for his children when they were growing up amongst many others.
Mr. Kanuch was predeceased by his dearly missed father, Michael Paul Kanuch.
He is survived by his four devoted and loved children: Ryan T. Kanuch and his wife, Paige, of Pine Bush, NY, Caitlin Kanuch of Florida, Jessica Kanuch of Rhode Island and Melissa Kanuch, also of Rhode Island; his loved partner, Bonnie Reddington, of Pompton Plains; his loved mother, Barbara Ann (nee Ericson) Badalamenti, of Lincoln Park; his two dear siblings, Cindy Giannini, of Pompton Plains and Steven Kanuch of Pennsylvania; and by his adored granddaughter, Riley Kanuch.
Visiting will be Friday January 21st from 3-5pm with a funeral service to immediately follow at 5:00pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Private cremation to follow.
