Oakley was an airplane enthusiast as the result of his years in the Navy and his 40 year employment at American Airlines. In addition, he was an avid fisherman with a preference for saltwater fishing. Although Oakley preferred saltwater fishing, his backyard koi pond was his pride and joy. With his brother Donald, Oakley restored a 1964 Chevy Nova and was often seen at local car shows winning best in show. Oakley will be remembered most for his love of life and his infectious laugh. His ability to laugh even as his health declined will always be held in the hearts of his loved ones.
Rest in peace, Dad, until we meet again!
