Victoria (Alfonso) Cruz

Victoria (nee Alfonso) Cruz, 88, of Fair Lawn, passed away Friday, March 24, 2023. Born in Cuba, Mrs. Cruz migrated to the United States in 1966. She has been a resident of Fair Lawn for many years. Before her retirement, Mrs. Cruz had been employed as a seamstress in Paterson. She was a proud member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union (ILGW).  Her hobbies included embroidery, puzzles and watching Spanish novelas.  Mrs. Cruz was a devoted wife, mother and “Abuela” to many.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Claudio Cruz in 2020.

Survivors include: her son, Angel Cruz and his wife, Lorraine Cruz; her daughter, Ana Vazquez and her husband, Jorge Vazquez; four grandchildren, Kimberly Cruz, Jason Cruz, Manuel Vazquez and Cristina Vazquez and her husband, Carlos Santiago; two great-grandchildren, Devyn Bittner and Jax Bittner; two sisters, Emma Hernandez and Elisa Alfonso; and two nieces, Ivonne Hernandez and Natalie Register.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 11:00am at the funeral home followed by the entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
