Adam Marzano Obituary

Adam J. Marzano, 85, of Clifton, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2021.  Adam was born in Passaic and later moved to Clifton where he resided most of his life.  He served in the United States Army for two years and was a faithful parishioner of Clifton’s St. Philip the Apostle Roman Catholic Church for decades.  Adam worked as a textile colorist for his entire career, having retired from Missbrenner Prints in Clifton.  Adam always enjoyed woodworking, drawing and prided himself on his craft as he was always happy to lend a hand to his children by helping with countless projects in their homes.  He was an avid Mets fan and passed that love of the game along to his children and grandchildren.  Adam was a kind and generous soul who’s presence was adored by all.  He certainly had a way with words and could quite often, put a smile on everyone’s face.

Adam was predeceased by his parents, Adam and Sarah (nee Dignam) Marzano and one brother, Emil Marzano.

Adam is survived by his devoted wife of fifty-seven years, Josephine (nee Genna) and his loving children, Maria Ragan and her husband Robert of Little Falls; Emil Marzano of Fort Myers, FL; Michael Marzano and his wife Teresa of West Caldwell; Adam Marzano Jr. and his wife Diane of Succasunna; and Joseph Marzano and his wife Melissa of Woodland Park; and his adored grandchildren Kristen Marzano, Nicole Ragan, Danielle Ragan and Adam Marzano, III.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm; a funeral service is Thursday 11:15am at the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton.  The Funeral Mass will be Thursday at 12:00pm at St. Philip the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton.  Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Please visit www.bizubquinlan.com for driving directions and online condolences to the family on the Tribute Wall section of the obituary.  Due to current restrictions on allowable numbers, (50), inside the funeral home, it is requested that those attending the visitation be courteous by limiting their time inside in order to allow others the opportunity to pay their respects.  Face masks must be worn at all times and social distancing will be expected.
