Albert L. Berta, 79, of Clifton passed away on February 12, 2021 following a brief illness.
Born and raised in Clifton, Mr. Berta was a lifelong resident. Prior to his retirement in 1998, he had been employed with Pfizer for many years. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and was a faithful parishioner of Holy Trinity RC Church in Passaic where he also served as an Usher. He loved model trains and was an avid collector of albums and movies.
Mr. Berta is survived by his dear sister, Patricia Ruggiero and her husband, Thomas, of Wanaque; by his loved uncle, Edward Hanzl, of East Rutherford; his loving niece Carrie Breckenridge and her husband, Mark, of Lynnwood, WA; his dear nephew Michael Ruggiero and his wife, Kristin, of Oak Ridge; and many loving cousins and friends.
Private cremation services were held under the direction of Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. A Memorial Mass for Mr. Berta will be held at a later date.
