Alexander Bsales, 93, beloved husband of the late Adrienne (Tardiff) Bsales, father, and grandfather, passed away on the evening of November 20, 2023, with family members at his side. A graduate of Paterson Technical and Vocational High School (1948) and having attended Fairleigh Dickenson University and the Newark College of Engineering (from which he earned an associate’s degree), Alex was also an inventor and the holder of two patents in his name and a contributor to other patents held in the names of his past employers.
Alex was a veteran of the New Jersey National Guard (Company A, 215th Armored Infantry Battalion, 50th Armored Division), where he served as a rifleman instructor. He was very active in the parish of St. Ann’s Melkite Byzantine Catholic Church of Paterson and later Woodland Park (nee West Paterson) for decades, and served as a Board Trustee, president of the parish’s Holy Name Society, and a senior choir member (25 years). His hobbies included fishing, sewing, DIY home projects, and raising his seven children.
