Ana (nee Leonovich) Sieruk, 82, of Clifton passed away peacefully on the morning of Wednesday December 18, 2024.
Born and raised in Encarnacion, Paraguay, Mrs. Sieruk came to the United States in the fall of 1961, living initially in Passaic and then in Garfield before settling in Clifton forty-seven years ago. Early employment had been with Portrait Arts in Hackensack where she was an artist but the majority of her life’s work was that of being a homemaker. She was a member of both the Russian Ukrainian Slavic Evangelical Baptist Church in Passaic and Brookdale Baptist Church in Bloomfield and loved flowers and gardening, benefiting from her natural innate ability to grow and foster plants and also had a passion for singing, both as part of a choir and as a soloist.
Mrs. Sieruk was predeceased by her beloved husband, of thirty-six years, Peter Sieruk, who passed away May 28, 2006 and by two of her of dear siblings: Leon Leonovich and Nina Jaruczyk.
She is survived by her three loving and devoted daughters: Elaine Carroll and her husband, Thomas, of Caldwell, Joleen Dickson and her husband, Andrew, of West Caldwell and Rose Ann Smyth and her husband, Michael, of Clifton; two loved siblings: Tatiana Telesh of Hopatcong and Peter Leonovich of Lancaster, PA; and by her seven cherished grandchildren: Owen Dickson, Aidan Dickson, Sofia Carroll, Devin Carroll, Fiona Smyth, Eamon Smyth and Ciaran Smyth.
