André Theophile Van Acker, 84, of Clifton passed away peacefully on November 4, 2021.
Born in Farcienne, Belgium, Mr. Van Acker was raised in Charleroi, Belgium and came to the United States in 1975, settling in Clifton where he has resided since. Prior to retirement, he had been employed as a dye house worker for Trio Dye & Finishing in Paterson. He had served in the Belgium Armed Services prior to coming to the United States and was a parishioner of St. Paul RC Church in Clifton.
Mr. Van Acker was predeceased by his loved and dearly missed wife, Rosa (nee Vizzi) Van Acker in 2015; by his two sisters: Jeanny Gaitz and Janinne Van Acker and his brother, Jose Van Acker.
He is survived by his loving and devoted son, Patrice Van Acker, of Clifton.
Visiting will be Sunday November 7th from 2-5pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral Monday November 8th 10:00am at St. Paul RC Church, cor. Union Avenue & Second Street, Clifton. Please meet at church. Entombment to follow at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Paterson.
