Andrew Elphick Obituary

Andrew J. Elphick, 70, of Cedar Grove passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on February 19, 2021.

Born in Glen Ridge, Andy was raised in Bloomfield and Caldwell and had lived in Cedar Grove for many years. Prior to retirement, he was the owner of Elphick Painting, a business his father had founded and he continued. He was very resourceful, never wanting to let anything go to waste and always on the hunt for items that he could reuse or repurpose. Above all else, Andy was the nicest man one could ever have the good fortune to meet. He will be dearly missed by his family, extended family, friends and neighbors…he truly made their lives better by being a part of them.

Andy was predeceased by his loved and missed parents, Harold N. and Dorothy (nee Bush) Elphick as well as by a dearly missed brother, Edward Elphick.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Kimberley (nee Chaddon) Elphick, of Cedar Grove; his three loved children: Andrew D. Elphick of Mahwah, Abigail Elphick of Florham Park and Tara Elphick of Louisiana; five dear siblings: Mark Elphick, Arthur Elphick, William Elphick, Susan Spitler and Shirley Schilare; and four loved grandchildren.

Private cremation services were held under the direction of Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton.
