Andrew Carl Chambers, 73, of Murrells Inlet, SC, formerly of Clifton, passed away on November 11, 2022 at home.
Born in Passaic, Drew was raised in Clifton and lived there for most of his life before moving to Murrells Inlet, SC in 2005. Prior to retiring, he had been employed as a contractor with Costanza Contracting in Clifton. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War, was a former parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle RC Church in Clifton and was a member of V.F.W. (Veterans of Foreign Wars) Post 7165, Valley Road in Clifton, former member of the Clifton ELKS and was an avid golfer.
Drew was predeceased by five dear siblings: Mary Lee Chambers, Laraine Soriano, David Chambers, Sean Chambers and Patrick Chambers; and his parents, Dr. Andrew B. Chambers and Helen Evelyn Chambers.
He is survived by his loving wife, Diane (nee Phillips); his two devoted children: Andrew Chambers and his wife, Angela and their daughter, Paige Cenicola and Sharon McKniff and her husband, Todd and their children Connor and Cameran McKniff; five loved sisters: Helen Claire Colligan, Margaret Chambers, Kathleen Krawiec, Evelyn Nick and Maureen Kassteen; his dear brother, William Chambers; cherished Goddaughter Maureen Tedesco; twelve nieces and nephews; nineteen great-nieces and nephews and three great-great-nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be Wednesday from 4-8pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral Thursday 10:30am at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Please meet at church. Private cremation to follow.
