Anna (nee Rizzo) Errico, 93, formerly of Clifton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 12th, 2023.
Born and raised in Gioi, Italy, Mrs. Errico came to the United States upon getting married and lived initially in Jersey City, then in Bayville and Clifton, each for a number of years and more recently had been living in Westwood. She was a homemaker who loved cooking and baking, especially known for her crumb cakes and cheesecakes, and then sharing her homemade creations with everyone. “Anna-banana” was a woman with drive and strength and her own “sense of humor” but was always one that could be counted on to assist any family member with whatever task they had at hand…she always just wanted to help.
Mrs. Errico was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Errico; a deeply missed son, John A. Errico; and by her eight dear brothers: Angelo, Attilio, Nicola, Americo, Egidio, Pasquale, Adolfo and Albino.
She is survived by her three loving children: Robert Errico of Ocala, FL, Donna Lowden and her husband, Thomas, of Old Bridge and Debra Costanza and her husband, Gary, of Westwood; and by her cherished granddaughter, Juliana Costanza.
Visiting will be Friday from 4-8pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral Saturday 9:15am from the funeral home and 10:00am at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association-Greater New Jersey Chapter (www.alz.org/nj), 23 Vreeland Road #105, Florham Park, NJ 07932 would be preferred and appreciated.
