Anna (Sabura) Lorencovitz

Anna Lorencovitz (Sabura), 72, of Passaic, NJ passed away peacefully at home on March 11, 2023 with her four loving children by her side.

Born in Nowa Biala, Poland to Piotr and Rozalia Sabura, she came to the United States in 1973 to visit her dearest Aunt Veronika and family; and ended up meeting the love of her life, Henry G. Lorencovitz (deceased March 8, 2011) at St. Mary’s Assumption Church, Passaic, NJ whereby she was a long-time active and faithful parishioner, attending daily Mass until she passed away.

To know Anna was to love her. She always had a beautiful smile on her face, a rosary in her pocket and a kind word or greeting for everyone who she encountered.  She truly had a heart of gold and was always thinking of and helping others.  Anna had a deep faith and strong devotion to God, her Church, her family and her native and adopted countries.  Her inner light shined very brightly, and she was an example of God’s love at work and how to live a good, holy life.

She is survived by her children, Virginia, Teresa and Jim, Mary and Henry. She also leaves behind her brothers Karol and John, and sisters, Rozalia, Zofia and Helena of Poland, along with many other family members including, brother and sisters-in-laws and nieces and nephews in Poland. She was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph, Peter and Stanley and her sister Maria of Poland.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. No visiting or services on Thursday. Funeral services will be Friday 9:15 am from the funeral home and 10:00 am at St. Mary R.C. Church, 63 Monroe St., Passaic. Interment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary R.C. Church, 63 Monroe St., Passaic, NJ 07055.
