Anthony Jude Baldasare, 85 years young, of Lyndhurst and formerly of Bloomfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday October 20th, 2024. Anthony passed away with the priest in his presence in his home with loved ones surrounding him. Sunday was Anthony’s favorite day of the week because it involved faith and family.
Born in Newark, Anthony lived in Bloomfield from 1967 until 2019 when he and his late wife Joan moved to Lyndhurst. Before retirement he was employed as a Tool & Die Maker and worked up until the age of 76 years old. Anthony Baldasare was a faithful parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church in Bloomfield. He was an avid grouse hunter and fresh water fishermen. One of his favorite pastimes was attending his grandchildren’s sporting events throughout their high school and collegiate athletic years. Ultimately no place made him happier than to be with his wife enjoying longs rides through the countryside, and Sunday dinners with family.
Anthony Baldasare was predeceased by his loved and deeply missed wife of sixty-years, Joan (nee Kleissler) Baldasare, who passed away on April 11, 2020 as well as by his dear parents, Anthony and Mae (nee Acierno) Baldasare.
He is survived by his two loving and devoted daughters, Roseanne D’Urso and her husband, Anthony, of Fairfield and Kimberley Freda and her husband, James, of Lyndhurst; by his three loved grandchildren: Anthony D’Urso and his wife Julia, Michael D’Urso and his wife Paige and Gianna D’Urso and her fiancé Stephen Sinnott; and by his four cherished great-granddaughters: Annalise, Amalia, Viviana and Savannah.
A few of Anthony’s words of wisdom I was blessed from the beginning, always have faith, family above everything. Remember where you came from, so they can follow in your footsteps.
