Calogera "Lina" (LoForte) Morello

Calogera “Lina” (nee LoForte) Morello, 85, of Clifton, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025. Born in Palermo, Sicily, Lina, as she was known to her family and friends, was raised in Corleone, Sicily.  She immigrated to the United States in 1963 and settled in Passaic.  Lina has been a Clifton resident since 1976.  Before her retirement, Lina was employed as a seamstress with Frank Saltz & Sons, Inc. in Passaic where she made many friends.  After her retirement, Lina cherished her time with her grandchildren and was able to help in raising them. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Paul R.C. Church in Clifton.

Lina was predeceased by her parents, Giuseppe and Biaggia LoForte; and her two sisters.

Survivors include: her beloved husband, Bernardo Morello; her two devoted children, Vincenza Vinci and her husband Antonio of Clifton and John Morello and his wife, Sandra of Wayne; six loving grandchildren, Anthony Vinci (Stephanie), Michael Vinci (Teresa), Jonathan Vinci, Briana Vinci, John Morello and Gianna Morello; two loving great-grandchildren, Serena and Lucas; and many dear nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, January15, 2025 at St. Paul R.C. Church, 124 Union Avenue, Clifton. Please meet at church. The committal service at the cemetery is private for the family only.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.  Arrangements are by Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton.
