Carmen Rosa (Diaz) Burgos

Carmen Rosa (nee Diaz) Burgos, 78, of Clifton, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024. Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, Mrs. Burgos was raised there before moving to the United States at the age of 14. She settled first in Brooklyn, then Queens before moving to Clifton 27 years ago. She enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City but it was her family that brought her the greatest joy in life.  Everybody loved her cooking and she loved cooking for everybody. 

Survivors include: three devoted children, Angel R. Burgos and his wife Janeth, Maria D. Balan and her husband, Florin and Carmen R. Russo and her husband, Michael, all of Clifton; her four dear siblings, Pedro, Julia, Elias and Cruz Diaz; nine loving grandchildren, Angel M. Burgos, Angelica M. Burgos, Alex G. Burgos, Priscilla M. Balan, Alexander Balan, Theodore Balan, Jarrett Russo, Brittany Russo and Justin Russo; and five loving great-grandchildren, Blake Balan, Blair Balan, Keanu Rodriguez, Gianna Russo and Hudson Russo.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 16, 2024 from 12 noon to 2 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm.
