Carol Ann Stauhs, a beacon of love and gentleness, passed away on October 15, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on December 27, 1956, in Passaic, New Jersey, Carol was a lifelong resident of the area, moving to Clifton in 1979, where she would spend the remainder of her cherished life.
Carol's early years in Passaic were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family, and she carried that sense of togetherness throughout her life. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Charles M. Stauhs, and together they built a family founded on love and mutual respect. Carol's legacy is continued through her children: her son, Charles P. Stauhs and his wife Donna Ploch Stauhs; her daughters, Paula Stauhs and Katherine Revette, and her son-in-law, Michael. Her grandchildren, Caitlyn, Danielle, and Alexander, were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Before her retirement, Carol was a beloved school lunch aide at School #13 in Clifton, where she touched the lives of countless children with her kindness and friendly smile. She later joined the team at ShopRite in Bloomfield, where she continued to spread her warmth to everyone she met. Carol's commitment to her community was further exemplified by her faithful attendance and involvement at St. Clare R.C. Church in Clifton.
Though she is preceded in death by her sister, Michelle Sylvester, and her parents, Paul Dykman and Emily A. Dykman, Carol's memory will live on in the hearts of those she left behind. Her influence will continue to be felt through the values she instilled in her family and the countless lives she touched with her generosity and compassion.
Carol Ann Stauhs will be deeply missed, but her spirit will remain a guiding light for all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life was a testament to the power of kindness, and her memory will be cherished forever.
