Chris Pappas, 94, of Clifton passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday March 9th, 2025.
Born and raised in Paterson, Chris had been a resident of Clifton since 1960 and had maintained a second residence in Manahawkin since 1972. Prior to retirement, he was employed as an Administrator with the United States Department of Health and Human Services for thirty-five years. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Korean War.
Chris was predeceased by his four dear siblings: Nicholas Pappas, John Pappas and his wife Kathryn, George Pappas and his wife Florence, and Marion Pappas.
He is survived by his loving and caring companion Judith McCarthy as well as by his dear nieces and nephew: Denise Pappas Sosi of Cherry Hill, Patricia Pappas of Stroudsburg, PA, Marianne Travers of Harrington Park and Thomas Pappas of Manahawkin and though Uncle Chris never had any children of his own, he was like a second father to them.
Visitation will be held at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton on Thursday March 13th from 9:30am-11:00am with a funeral service to follow at 11:00am.
