Claude R. Plante, Jr., 61, of Caldwell passed away in the loving care of his wife on July 5, 2021 after a lengthy illness.
Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Claude came to the United States with his family as a young child and lived in Caldwell for most of his life. He had been employed as a Lab Tech with Sofradir EC Inc., formerly Electrophysics, in Fairfield. He was a member of Emergence Church in Totowa.
Claude was predeceased by his parents, Claude R. and Claudette (nee LaPointe) Plante; and his three brothers: Richard, Daniel and Andre Plante.
He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife, Milissa (nee Parmentier) Plante, of Caldwell; his two loved stepchildren: Lloyd Mitchell, Jr.of Jefferson and Kellie-Jean Mitchell of Fair Lawn; his cherished Brayden Gaffney, to whom he will always be “Pop-pop”; his sister, Mary Plante, of Holden, Maine; sister-in-law Linda Plante and her son, Ivan, of Eustis, Florida; brother-in-law John Parmentier of Fair Lawn and sister-in-law Ellen Parmentier of Boonton; and his cherished fur baby, Thor.
Visiting will be Saturday from 1-5pm with a funeral service to be held during the visitation at 4:30 at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Private cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org), 7 Ridgedale Avenue, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927 would be appreciated.
