Connie Andolino Obituary

Connie Marie Andolino, of Clifton, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on March 5, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on February 5, 1955, in Johnstown, PA, Connie lived a life marked by

compassion, dedication, and love. Her unwavering commitment to her family and her profession left an indelible impact on all who knew her.

A gifted and creative person, she expressed herself through various artistic talents including embroidery, painting, and her most recent passion for scrapbooking. She had a rare ability to transform memories into art and curate ordinary moments into something lasting. Her passion for creating was a gift she shared freely, inspiring the careers, interests, and artistic pursuits of her family and friends for generations to come.

She was a devoted leader whose faith shaped her life. She led and organized the altar servers of St. Michaels, and welcomed countless parishioners as an usher of St. Phillips, offering steady dedication to her church community. She journeyed widely with her family, and wherever she went, she brought the same leadership, curiosity, and sense of faithful purpose that defined her life.

Connie was raised in Garfield and had lived in Clifton since 1983 with her devoted husband of forty-eight years, Michael. Their partnership was one of mutual respect and enduring affection, and together they raised a family that was the central joy of Connie’s life. Treasured family memories include the many trips to Europe and the Caribbean, from their honeymoon to the most recent Seine river cruise in 2025, which achieved her lifelong desire to visit Paris.

Connie was proud mother to Stephen Michael Andolino and his wife Kelsey Wade of Brooklyn, NY and to Jonathan Michael Andolino and his wife Cadell Hornbuckle of Clifton. Her unforgettable impact shines through her grandchildren Stephen “Eugene” Andolino and Rew Constance Andolino, whom she cared for from infancy which brought her immense happiness and shaped them into loving and kind children.

Remembered by her loving sister Kathleen Renae Bellardini and her husband Dr. Angelo George Bellardini of Wayne, Connie was a cherished sibling and confidante. She enjoyed a special connection with not only her nieces and nephews but also with their children. Though she was preceded in death by her parents, John Terchanik (2009) and Margaret (née Dubay) Terchanik (2018), their values and teachings were a guiding force throughout her life.

Connie’s academic achievements were a testament to her intellect and dedication. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and went on to complete a Certificate for School Nursing, a field in which she excelled. Known for her diligent, hands-on care for her students, Connie was the respected Head School Nurse at The Phoenix Center in Nutley, where she shaped young lives with care and kindness for almost twenty-five years before retiring four years ago.

Her legacy is written in the hearts and memories of all who had the privilege to know her. The absence of Connie as leader in all aspects of her life will be felt. Connie Marie Andolino’s life story is not one of endings but of enduring love and influence. Her spirit will continue to inspire, a gentle reminder of the power of a life well-lived and the beauty found in acts of kindness and devotion. She will be profoundly missed, yet her example remains a beacon of light, guiding her family and friends through their own journeys.
