Cynthia Ann (nee Wieczerzak) Mikula, 66, of North Caldwell passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022. Born in Passaic, Cindy was raised in Clifton and was a 1973 graduate of Clifton High School, where she was an honor roll student and a majorette. She was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Clifton.

While raising her family in Clifton, Cindy was a leader of the elementary school PTA and a very active “team mom” for her sons’ various sports teams, up to and including their college years. She was primary caretaker of her mother during her mother’s years-long battle with multiple sclerosis. Cindy also provided lifelong support as her husband built his family contracting business into the successful, multifaceted operation it is today.

In recent years, Cindy spent much of her time in Point Pleasant Beach, where she and her husband had a vacation home and a wide group of friends with whom they made many wonderful memories. She was a loyal and beloved client of many of “the Point’s” local businesses and a gracious hostess at her home on the boardwalk. Cindy’s main joy in life, however, was being a grandmother, as her grandchildren and everyone else knew very well.

Cindy was predeceased by her husband and high school sweetheart, Dennis Mikula, Sr., on December 14, 2021, and her parents, Frederick and Mildred (nee Dublanica) Wieczerzak.

Survivors include her two devoted sons, Dennis Mikula, Jr. and his wife, Diana, and Ryan Mikula; three loving grandchildren, Ryan and Jeremy Mikula and Lucy Mikula; and three brothers, Fred Wieczerzak and his wife, Joann, Edward Wieczerzak, and his wife, Jeanmarie, and Leonard Wieczerzak and his wife, Eileen.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 21, 2022 at 11:30 am at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Please meet at church, and face masks are required. Interment to follow at Mount Hebron Cemetery, Upper Montclair.
