Dean P. Behan, 56, of Pompton Lakes passed away suddenly on August 21, 2020.
Born in Passaic, Dean was raised in Clifton and had resided in Pompton Lakes since 2002. He was employed as a carpenter with the County of Passaic and was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pompton Lakes. Dean was a friend to everyone. He will be remembered for his big heart, generosity, kindness and willingness to help anyone at any time with whatever they needed. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all that knew him.
Dean was predeceased by his stepfather, Ronald T. Behan, and father, Paul DeMarco.
He is survived by his loving wife, Christina (Schwiederek) Behan, of Pompton Lakes; his devoted son, Thomas Behan, of Pompton Lakes; his dear mother, Joan (Reckenbeil) Behan, of Clifton; two stepdaughters: Shawna Finizio of Rockaway and Jenna Finizio of Wayne; his brother, Scott T. Behan, of Clifton; two grandchildren: Giovanni and Lorenzo Brigida; and by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Josephine Schwiederek, of Clifton. Dean is also survived by his many loved nephews and extended family.
Visiting will be Sunday August 30th from 2-6pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral Monday 11:00am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 17 Pompton Avenue, Pompton Lakes. Please meet at church. Private cremation to follow.
