Dennis Wesley

Dennis Wesley, of Clifton, passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 78.

Born on February 23, 1947 in Passaic, Dennis understood that his heart belonged to Clifton, the community where he spent his entire life and where he served as a Postal Worker with the US Postal Service. He had a love for classic cars and car shows and enjoyed fishing escapades in Canada — an activity that brought him solace and connection with nature. He was a fixture at VFW Post 7165 on Valley Road in Clifton, where as a Canteen Member he spent countless hours socializing and creating memories with his fellow members.

Although Dennis never married, he held an unbreakable bond with the family of his best friend and "brother," the late Walter Sattelberger, and his late wife, Irene. He revered his time with their children: Brian and his wife Tiffany of Hampton, Jennifer of Little Falls, Christine of Hillsboro, OH, Amelia Rose of Little Falls and Henry Lawrence Sattelberger, also of Little Falls. They were "nieces and nephews" by affection, but family by the deepest definition in Dennis's heart.

The gap left by Dennis's absence will be keenly felt by his extended family and friends, whose lives he touched with the simple power of his quiet genuine spirit and his legacy is etched not just in the postal routes he once navigated, but in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to have been a part of his journey. His memory remains a beacon of camaraderie, loyalty, and the simple pleasures that make a life well-lived.
