Dolores (Succardi) Balkjy

Dolores (nee Succardi) Balkjy, 79, of Clifton. Born in Paterson NJ to Antonette (nee Sinatore) and Dominick Succardi. Mother, wife, sister, grandmother, surrogate grandmother and the kindest spirit to all the world passed September 3, 2021 from surgical complications.

After meeting her husband Anthony, they opened a business and moved to Clifton to start a family. While the business had much success her real passion was family and faith. After working professionally, she changed her focus to raise her family. 

Dolores dedicated her life first to her parents, brothers Anthony, Don and sister Helen. Then to her husband Anthony, Children Robert and Anthony. Eventually to her grandchildren, Hunter, Cami, Ayden and Conner, nephews and their children.

No professional accomplishments can ever outweigh the love, caring and support she gave to her family and all around her. Dolores also became a surrogate grandmother to two neighbor children that she loved very much. In addition to all of this, she dedicated much of her time to St. Andrew the Apostle R.C. Church, Clifton with daily services helping serve Mass. Another passion of Dolores was her crafting again bringing light to the world though her art. 

Visiting Thursday 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral service Friday 9:15 am at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass 10:00 am at St. Andrew the Apostle R.C. Church, 400 Mt. Prospect Ave., Clifton. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ.
