Donald W. Reincke, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on March 5, 1943, in Passaic, New Jersey, Donald's life was marked by his loving nature, witty charm, and friendly demeanor that endeared him to all who knew him.
Donald is survived by his devoted wife, Dorothy D. Reincke (nee Matanin), with whom he shared a beautiful life for 39 years. He was a proud and doting father to his daughter, Brittany Ruane, and a respected father-in-law to Travis Ruane. His role as Gac Gac to his grandchildren, Quinn and Elle Ruane, was one he cherished with all his heart. He is also survived by his sister, Marilyn Gennace, who will miss him dearly. Donald was predeceased by his parents, Wallace and Lorraine Reincke, who instilled in him the values of hard work and determination that he carried throughout his life.
Before retiring, Donald was a dedicated tractor-trailer driver with Tropicana Products in Jersey City, where his commitment to his work was evident to all. Prior to that, he was the owner/operator of R&D Trucking.
Donald's love for life was as vast as the ocean, a passion that was reflected in his favorite pastime of taking his boat out from his shore house in Ortley Beach, NJ. The Jersey Shore held a special place in his heart. His 1979 Chevy Corvette was his pride and joy, a gleaming testament to his love for cars. He meticulously cared for it, ensuring it "never saw the rain," and enjoyed bringing it to local car shows.
An avid motorcyclist, Donald relished the freedom of the open road aboard his Harley Davidson. His adventurous spirit was matched only by his warm and friendly nature, which made him a beloved figure among his friends.
