Doris Leah (Plonsky) Warcholik

Doris Leah (nee Plonsky) Warcholik, 88, of Clifton, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Born in Bronx, New York, Doris resided in Clifton for the last 64 years. Prior to retiring in 1990, she had been employed as an Art teacher at Clifton High School. Previous employment was with St. Paul School and the Clifton Girls Club.

Doris earned her degrees in Psychology, Art and English as well as a Certificate in Homeopathy. She maintained a private therapy practice in Clifton for many years.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Paul John Warcholik in 2015.

Survivors include: three children, Jill Crisci, Gary Warcholik and Paul Warcholik and his wife, Diana; her sister, Shirley Brodie; six grandchildren, Jaslyn Grecca and Alex, Gary, Jr., Ryan, Carly and Mason Warcholik and three great-grandchildren, Julia, Jax and Sophia Grecea. She is also survived by her personal longtime caregivers, Kate and Harlene.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. A funeral service will be held Friday, March 10, 2023 at 11:00 am at the funeral home followed by interment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
