Edgar T. De La Torre, Sr.

Edgar T. De La Torre, Sr., 74, of Clifton passed away peacefully on Monday September 19, 2022.

            Born and raised in the Philippines, Mr. De La Torre came to the United States in 1990, settling initially in Lincoln Park before then moving to Clifton in 1994 and resided there since. Prior to retiring in 2015, he had been employed as a Biomedical Engineer with Fresenius Renal Care in Yonkers, NY. He had been a parishioner of Sacred Heart RC Church in Clifton.

            Mr. De La Torre was predeceased by his loved and missed parents: Escolastico and Arsenia (nee Taghoy) De La Torre as well as by three dear siblings: Antonio De La Torre, Teresita Rosal and Ophelia Villaver.

            He is survived by his beloved wife, Patchica (nee Binghay) Dela Torre, of Clifton; his trusted and devoted son, Edgar De La Torre, Jr., and his wife, Dominica R. De La Torre, also of Clifton; a dear brother, Romelando Dela Torre of Louisiana; two loved sisters: Lolita Dela Torre of the Philippines and Rosalinda Ruelan of Florida; and by his cherished grandson Francis Iñaki.

            Visitation will be Friday from 5-9pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral Saturday 9:00am from the funeral home and 9:45am at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton.
