In Loving Memory of Efigjeni Qeramixhi

December 3, 1936 – July 27, 2025

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and matriarch, EfigjeniQeramixhi, at the age of 88.

Born in Albania on December 3, 1936, Efigjeni lived a life defined by love, resilience, and generosity. A devoted educator and nurturing soul, she dedicated her early years to teaching and raising her family before immigrating to the United States in 1996. She settled first in Queens, NY, and later made Clifton, NJ, her home in 2003.

Efigjeni was the heart of her family—a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who found joy in life’s simplest blessings. Her gardens flourished under her care, a vibrant reflection of her warmth, and her cooking brought comfort and joy to every gathering.

She shared 60 beautiful years of marriage with her late husband, Pandi Qeramixhi, her lifelong partner and best friend. Together, they built a loving home for their three children: Arben (Iryna), Raimonda Rrapo, and Alma Haxhiu (Musa). As "Nena," she was adored by her grandchildren—Egzon, Pandi, Daniel, Deni, and Kathryn—who cherished her unwavering kindness and lively spirit.

Efigjeni was preceded in death by her beloved sisters, MarjanthiTrako, Lefkothe Toce, and Beatrika Panariti. She is survived by her sisters, Vasilika (Chicago) and Romana (Fair Lawn), along with countless nieces, nephews, and extended family who will forever hold her memory close.

Her hearty laughter, boundless compassion, and strength will be deeply missed. Efigjeni’s legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Visiting hours will be held at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton, on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

A Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 818 Valley Rd, Clifton, followed by burial at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, 255 Main Avenue, Clifton, New Jersey 07014.
