Elinor E. "Terry" (Lindner) Schroeder

Elinor E. “Terry” (nee Lindner) Schroeder, 92, of Wayne, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 at home in the care of her loving family. Born in Passaic, Mrs. Schroeder resided in Wayne for most of her life.

          Mrs. Schroeder, along with her husband, Carl, had owned Richfield Farms on Van Houten Avenue in Clifton for many years and was a member of the New Jersey Farm Bureau.

          Mrs. Schroeder was a devoted and active member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Wayne where she served on the Church Planning Board and as Liaison. Previously, Mrs. Schroeder was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Clifton where she taught Sunday School and served on the Board.

          She practiced Tai Chi and was a Certified Reiki Therapist. Mrs. Schroeder also enjoyed bowling and was a member of a bowling league in Wayne.

          She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Carl Leonard Schroeder in 2000; two grandchildren, Kimberly M. and Kaitlyn E. Petrillo; her son-in-law, Daniel M. Petrillo; and one sister, Marjorie Tarantino; and her parents, Ernest William and Anna Mae (nee Syers) Lindner.

          Survivors include: her children, Carl Ernest Schroeder of Wayne, Leonard Bernard Max Schroeder and his wife, Debra of Sewell, NJ, Debora Schroeder Morton and her husband, Jack of Johns Island, SC and Carol Schroeder Petrillo; one sister, Jean McLeod of Cross City, FL; six grandchildren, Jessica Morton Byrne and her husband, Kevin, William Benjamin Morton and his wife, JoAnne, Daniel Matthew Petrillo and his wife, Erin, Melissa Schroeder Herman and her husband, Steve, Adam Ernest Schroeder and Carl Peter Schroeder; and seven great-grandchildren, Jackson, Owen, Harrison and Kevin Byrne and W. Benjamin, Oliver and Noah Morton.

          Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. The funeral service will be held Thursday 11:00 am at the funeral home followed by the interment at Mount Hebron Cemetery, Upper Montclair.
