Elizabeth Zakopcsan

Elizabeth Zakopcsan, 88, of Clifton, passed away September 12, 2023. Born in Passaic, Betty as she was known, resided there for many years before moving to Clifton in 1985. Before her retirement in 1995, she was employed as an Administrative Assistant at ITT Avionics in Nutley where she was employed for over 37 years. Betty was a faithful parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle R.C. Church in Clifton. She was a member of AARP; the ITT Quarter Century Club and the Golden Age Circle of Wayne.

She was predeceased by her parents, John (1991) and Anna (nee Szanto) Zakopcsan (1987); her brother and sister-in-law, John (1991) and Vivian Zane (2009); her nephew, Guy Zane; and her great-niece in-law, Jill Zane.

Survivors include: her nephew, John Zane and his wife, Barbara of Toms River; great-nephew, Matthew Zane and his wife, Jennifer; great-niece, Jenna Zane; great-great-nephews, Caden and Ethan Zane; great-great-niece, Emily Zane; and step-great-great-niece, Olivia Maes.

Visitation will be held Monday from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton followed by a 1:00 pm Mass at St. Andrew the Apostle R.C. Church, 400 Mt. Prospect Avenue, Clifton. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson, In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O.
