Elizabeth "Lee" M. (Schmitt) Robinson

Elizabeth M. “Lee” Robinson, 84, of Clifton, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022. Born in Passaic, Mrs. Robinson resided in Clifton all of her life. Before her retirement in 2015, Lee (as she was known to family and friends) was employed as a Senior Tax Clerk with the City of Clifton Tax Collectors Office for many years.

            Family and faith were most important in Lee’s life. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Paul R.C. Church in Clifton where she was a member of the Leisure Club.  Lee also belonged to the Columbiettes of the Regina Mundi Knights of Columbus #3969 and the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post #8, both of Clifton.  

            She was predeceased by her parents, George and Elizabeth (nee Ludwig) Schmitt; her brother, George Schmitt; and her sister and her husband, Evelyn A. and Robert Sokasits.

            Survivors include: her beloved husband of 64 years, Frank B. Robinson, Jr.; her devoted children, Frank Robinson, III and his wife, Geri of South Carolina and her daughter, Susan Cramer and her husband, Ray of Clifton, NJ; her four grandchildren, Bevin, Ben and Kerry Robinson and Christina Rae Cramer; her sister-in-law, Monica Schmitt; and other extended family including nieces, nephews and cousins.

            Visitation will be held Monday, April 4, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 9:15 am from the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass at St. Paul R.C. Church, 124 Union Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07011. Entombment to follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul R.C. Church, 124 Union Ave., Clifton, NJ 07011.
