In Loving Memory of Dr. Enayatollah Vossough
October 17, 1932 – October 10, 2025
It is with deep love and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Dr. Enayatollah Vossough, who left this world peacefully at home on the morning of October 10th, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family.
Born on October 17, 1932, in Taft, Yazd, Iran, to a devoted Bahá’í family, Enayat’s life was shaped by the spiritual principles of his Faith — love, justice, and service to humanity. The Bahá’í Faith was the guiding light of his existence and his source of inspiration in all things: becoming a healer and physician, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a faithful servant of his community, and a lover of nature, art, and beauty. Throughout his life, he exemplified the virtues of truthfulness, fairness, and compassion that his Faith inspired.
From an early age, Enayat’s disciplined and inquisitive spirit led him to medicine — a calling through which he devoted his life to caring for others. He began his medical career in Internal Medicine and Family Practice in Shiraz before later moving to Tehran, where his kindness, diligence, and selfless service to his patients earned him the respect and affection of all who knew him.
Beyond his profession, Enayat lived a life rich in wonder and creativity. He found deep joy in gardening, nature, and the artistry of Persian carpets, in which he possessed immense knowledge and appreciation. His graceful Persian calligraphy reflected his reverence for beauty and spirituality, and his three published books stand as a testament to his love of writing and his steadfast faith.
Those who knew Enayat will remember his warmth, hospitality, and gift for friendship. His home was always open, his heart always welcoming — there were no strangers to Enayat. Whether engaging in heartfelt conversation, sharing wisdom, or simply listening, he had an extraordinary ability to make others feel seen, valued, and loved.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Sorour of more than 65 years; his loving daughters, Soheila and Samira; his beloved sons-in-law, Behzad and Phillip; and his cherished grandchildren, Shayon, Alyssa, Amelia, and Ellis, who were his greatest joy and pride.
Enayat’s life was a reflection of faith in action. His legacy of steadfast belief in the goodness of humanity will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 18 at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07013 beginning at 9:00 a.m., followed by burial at Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton, NJ, luncheon to follow in loving remembrance of his life to be held at 7 Macopin Avenue, Montclair, NJ.
