Ennio Scarduffa, 91 of Clifton, passed away Tuesday, August 22nd. Born and raised in Rome, Italy, he came to the United States in 1961 and settled in Clifton where he had resided since. While in Italy, Ennio was employed for 10 years with Poligrafico dello Stato (Italian Mint). He was then employed for 33 years with DePalma Printing Co. in Teaneck, NJ as a Pressman Lithographer. Ennio was a faithful parishioner of Sacred Heart R.C. Church in Clifton where he formerly served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was a member of the Regina Mundi Knights of Columbus Council #3969, the Old Friends Beneficial Club, and the Italian American Family Association, all of Clifton.
While living in Rome, Ennio played on a Serie C soccer team. He was a lifelong fan of S.S. Lazio of Rome. He brought his soccer talents to the United States and served as a coach for the Fair Lawn Recreation Soccer, the Clifton Stallions Recreation Soccer, and the Sacred Heart CYO soccer team. For 25 years, Ennio was a New Jersey State Referee with the Metro Youth Soccer League.
Ennio enjoyed travelling, dancing, playing cards and the Pick 4 lottery “he always missed by one”.
