Esther (DeLuca) Koehler

Esther (nee DeLuca) Koehler, 90, of Woodland Park passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 20th, 2024.
Born in Passaic, Mrs. Koehler was raised in Clifton and had lived in Woodland Park for the past sixty-two years. Prior to retiring twenty-eight years ago, she had been employed as an Administrative Assistant with Toshiba America in Totowa and was also the Co-Owner of K & S Ceramics in Woodland Park for almost twenty years. Mrs. Koehler was a faithful parishioner of St. Bonaventure RC Church in Paterson and was a member of “The Warming Bee” knitting club where she knitted caps and blankets for newborns, and volunteer at Passaic General Hospital. She and Dad loved throwing 4th of July and Labor Day parties with friends and family at the shore house and loved doing crossword puzzles, playing Scrabble and Rummikub.
She was predeceased by her loved and missed husband, Harold W. Koehler Jr., who passed away on January 29, 2003 and by her three dear brothers: Louis, Mario and Victor DeLuca.
Mrs. Koehler is survived by her three loving and devoted children: Linda Koehler of Woodland Park, Harold W. Koehler III and his wife, Debra, of Brick and Katherine D’Arienzo and her husband, John, of Wayne as well as by her five cherished grandchildren: Bryan Koehler, Brett Koehler, Ashley Chapman and her husband Brandon, Julia D’Arienzo and Anthony D’Arienzo. She was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her first great-grandchild this February.
Visiting will be Sunday from 2-6pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral Monday 9:30am from the funeral home and 10:15am at St. Bonaventure RC Church, 174 Ramsey Street, Paterson. Entombment to follow at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Paterson.
