Ethel M. (Rubiski) Finley

Ethel M. (nee Rubiski) Finley, 93, of Clifton passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday February 9th, 2025.

            Born and raised in Paterson, Mrs. Finley was a resident of Clifton for the past seventy years. Prior to retirement, she had been employed as an Operator and Customer Service Representative with New Jersey Bell in Clifton for forty-five years however above her work and anything else in life, her family always came first. A devout Catholic, she was a faithful parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle RC Church in Clifton.

            Mrs. Finley was predeceased by her loved husband, John F. Finley, who passed away on December 20, 2016; by four missed children: John W. Finley, Janet M. Galanti, Paul J. Finley and Michael E. Finley; and two dear siblings: William Rubiski and Marilyn DeGroot.

            She is survived by four loving children: Robert F. Finley and his wife Carol of Northampton, PA, David M. Finley and his wife Barbara of Washington Twp., Sharon A. Ferrara and her husband Patrick of Clifton and Bryan A. Finley and his wife Amy of Newton; her dear sister Marge Drada of Butler; twenty-three cherished grandchildren and twenty-four treasured great-grandchildren.

            Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Please arrive at the funeral home on Saturday at 8:30am for the funeral which will begin at 9:00am followed by 9:45am Mass at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org), 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
