Evelyn R. (Meli) Fierro

Evelyn R. (nee Meli) Fierro, 97, of Tinton Falls, formerly of Clifton, passed away October 10, 2024. Born and raised in Garfield, Mrs. Fierro moved to Clifton in 1954 where she resided for most of her life. More recently, she has been living at Seabrook Village Community in Tinton Falls. Mrs. Fierro was employed for 22 years with the Frank Malatesta Moving Co. of Paterson, retiring in 1992. She had been a faithful parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Clifton for many years and was a member of the national chapter of AARP.

Mrs. Fierro was predeceased by her beloved husband, Louis M. Fierro in 2013; her sister, Loretta Cammarato; and her parents, Pasquale and Rose (nee Staine) Meli.

Survivors include: two sons, Louis A. Fierro and his wife, Lesley and Michael Fierro and his wife, Lisa; one brother, Anthony Meli; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 14, 2024 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by an entombment at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum in Paterson.
