Frank Koble Obituary

Frank A. Koble, 88, of Clifton, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Passaic, New Jersey, Frank was a lifelong resident of Clifton and a proud member of the community he called home. Frank began his career as a data processing analyst with Bendix Corporation. Through hard work and dedication, he advanced to data processing manager at Volkswagen of America and later at British Leyland. After several consulting assignments, he chose to leave the corporate world and join his father in the family business, Koble Cell Inc., where he eventually served as Chief Executive Officer. His leadership, integrity, and strong work ethic helped guide the company for many years.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Helen Koble; his beloved wife of 50 years, Barbara Koble; and his close brothers-in-laws, William Clayton and Stephen Szabo.

He is survived by his children, Kenneth (Karen) Koble of Germantown, Ohio; Christopher Koble of Clifton, New Jersey; and Robert (Erin) Koble of the Township of Washington, New Jersey.

He also leaves behind seven cherished grandchildren: Michael (Katie), Katelyn (Tyler Ward), Karianne, Jacob, Jessica, Mitchel, and Alyssa Koble; and three beloved great-grandchildren, Kenneth, Everett, and Quinn, who brought him immense joy.

Frank is also survived by his sisters, Eleanor Szabo and Elizabeth Clayton; his nephews, Stephen and David Szabo; and his nieces, Cheryl Clayton and Amy (Tim) Walsh, with whom he shared many good times and fond memories over the years.

Frank never knew a stranger. He had a remarkable gift for connecting with people and making them feel welcomed, valued, and at ease. His warmth, kindness, and genuine interest in others turned acquaintances into lifelong friends.

A gifted handyman, Frank could build or repair nearly anything. Whether helping with a home project, fixing something around the house, or changing brakes in the driveway, he was always ready to lend a hand. His patience, skill, attention to detail and willingness to help others were among the qualities that defined him.

Frank loved the Jersey Shore and spending time in the sunshine. Whether enjoying a day on his boat or sharing family vacations by the ocean, he found peace and happiness near the water.

Above all, Frank loved his family. He was a devoted grandfather, and great-grandfather whose greatest joy came from watching his family grow and thrive. The time he spent with those he loved was what mattered most to him.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to their friend Richard Kopec. His meals, companionship, listening ear, and regular wellness checks brought comfort and peace of mind during Frank’s final years. His kindness and friendship will never be forgotten.

A private celebration of Frank’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Frank will be remembered for his laughter, sense of humor, quiet strength, generosity, and unwavering devotion to family and friends. His love, guidance, and presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew him.
