Frank (Franciszek) Markowski, 83, of Garfield passed away on July 29, 2021.
Born and raised in Frydman, Poland, Mr. Markowski left home at the young age of fourteen to attend vocational school and learn a craft that would serve him throughout his life. He served two years in the Polish Navy and came to the United States in 1965, living in Clifton and then the past thirty-fours years in Garfield. He was an avid saltwater fisherman, loved woodworking projects including cabinet-making, had a passion for playing both the accordion and the organ and developed a love of paint-by-numbers later in life. He also enjoyed travel but above all else, loved time spent with his family.
