George M. Dennison, 72, of Clifton passed away on March 9, 2021 after a brief illness.
Born in Paterson, Mr. Dennison lived there for many years and had resided in Clifton for the last nine years. He was a proud Lenape Indian who was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. serving in the Vietnam War. A very outgoing man with a dynamic personality, he was known to all to be a great husband, dad, grandfather, brother and friend. He was always there for anyone who needed him. He will be greatly missed by everyone who was fortunate to have had him be a part of their lives.
Mr. Dennison was predeceased by his loved and deeply missed parents, John Henry Dennison and Gladys Arthealia Brown as well as by four dear siblings: Johnny, Ricky, Carter and Santa.
He is survived by his loving and caring wife, Shirley A. (nee Mullane) Dennison, of Clifton; by his devoted daughter Elizabeth Dennison and respected son-in-law Efrain Gomez, of Clifton; six dear siblings: Wesley, Sandra, Gloria, Marva, Sally and Mary; three cherished grandchildren: Nazier, Nathaniel and Milania; and treasured great-grandson, Damon.
Visitation will be held at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton on Wednesday March 17th from 10:30am-11:30am followed by a funeral service at 11:30am. A live stream of the visitation and service beginning at 10:30am on Wednesday may be viewed by clicking HERE at that time. Face masks must be worn inside the funeral home and social distancing guidelines must be adhered to. Due to current restrictions on allowable numbers inside the funeral home at one time (60), it is requested that those attending the visitation be courteous by limiting their time inside in order to allow others the opportunity to pay their respects as well. Interment will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown on Wednesday at 1:30pm.
