Giovanna (nee DiBrizzi) Pizzi, 77, of Clifton, passed away July 24, 2020. Born in Silla, Sassano, Italy. Mrs. Pizzi came to the United States in 1963 settling in Jersey City. She resided there until 1980 when she moved to Clifton. Mrs. Pizzi was employed as a seamstress at Silla Lingerie of Jersey City.
She was predeceased by her brother, Cosimo DiBrizzi and one sister, Maria DiBrizzi.
Survivors include: her beloved husband, Vincenzo Pizzi; two devoted sons, John Pizzi, his children, Vincent and Alessandra, and their mother Palma and Joseph Pizzi, his wife, Rocio and their children, Isabella and Gianfranco; and one sister, Mina Cantelmi.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:15 am from the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Private (Family Only) entombment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair. Due to current restrictions on allowable numbers (50) inside the funeral home, it is requested that those attending the visitation be courteous by limiting their time inside in order to allow others the opportunity to pay their respects as well.
