Giulia (nee Cardinale) Rivituso, 91, of Upper Saddle River, formerly of Clifton, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. Born in Alia, Sicily, Mrs. Rivituso came to the United States in 1954 through Ellis Island. She was a pioneer and paved the way to the U.S. for her family and paisanos. Giulia was known to be a talented baker and made some delicious cookies for her family and friends.
She had been a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Clifton where she was a member of the Prime Timers.
Giulia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Franco Rivituso in 1987; her son, Sal Rivituso; and a brother, Salvatore Cardinale.
Survivors include: her three daughters, Grace Barish and her husband, Alex, Lisa Miller and her husband, Richard and Silvana Rivituso; five grandchildren, Vincent, Julianne, Alexander, Richie and Kevin; five great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Maria Seragusa, Matteo Cardinale and Pina Guccione.
Visitation will be held Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. The funeral service will be held Saturday morning 10:00 am at the funeral home followed by entombment at Calvary Cemetery in Paterson.
