Gloria (nee Marconi) Toma passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, at the age of 88 in Clifton, NJ, surrounded by the warmth of her loving family. Born on August 18, 1937, in Passaic, NJ, Gloria was raised in Passaic before moving to Clifton where she lived for over 60 years.
Gloria's life was a testament to her unwavering dedication to her family. She was the cherished wife of the late Gene Toma, with whom she shared a beautiful and enduring life. Together, they nurtured a family and a business that stood as pillars of their shared values and hard work. Gloria's legacy is carried on by her devoted sons, Nick Toma, Michael Toma and his wife Nancy, and her loving daughter, Christine Miragliotta, along with her husband Giuseppe. Her memory will forever be treasured by her grandsons, Anthony and Nick Miragliotta, who brought immense joy and pride to her life.
Gloria's early years were spent in the company of her siblings, the late Louise Calantone, Harold Marconi, and William Marconi, with whom she shared countless cherished memories. Many Toma/Marconi family gatherings were filled with lots of love and laughter. Gloria loved spending time with cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Gloria worked alongside her husband at Commercial Printers in Clifton. Gloria and Gene were a team in every way, at work and at home.
Gloria was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Clifton. Her love for the New York Yankees was unwavering, and she could often be found cheering them on. All winter, she’d count the days until pitchers and catchers report to spring training.
Those who knew Gloria will remember her as the epitome of loving, thoughtful, and friendly. Her ability to make everyone around her feel valued and cared for was one of her most remarkable traits. Gloria's warm smile, kind words, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
As we say goodbye to this extraordinary woman, we take comfort in knowing that her legacy will continue to inspire and guide us. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched, a lasting tribute to a life so beautifully lived.
