Halina (Cienkowski) Majkowski

Halina (nee Cienkowski) Majkowski, 93, of Clifton passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 16, 2023.

            Born in Poland, Mrs. Majkowski lived there until she was sixteen when she emigrated to the United States upon getting married. She entered through Ellis Island, lived initially in Paterson before then moving to Clifton where she resided since. She was employed with Universal Manufacturing Co., formerly in Paterson, for twenty-eight years until they relocated when she then went to work in housekeeping at Preakness Hospital in Wayne for six years until retiring. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Brendan RC Church in Clifton, enjoyed playing the violin in her younger years and always enjoyed going out to eat.

            Mrs. Majkowski was predeceased by her loved and missed husband, Hieronim (Herbie) Majkowski, in 1999 and by her three dear sisters.

            She is survived by her two loved sons: Chester Majkowski of Rhode Island and Stanley Majkowski of Clifton; by a dear first cousin, Wanda Mozolewski, of Clifton; by her treasured great-grandson, John Majkowski of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.

            Visiting will be Tuesday May 23rd from 4-8pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral Wednesday May 24th 9:15am from the funeral home and 10:00am at St. Brendan RC Church, cor. Crooks and Lakeview Avenues, Clifton. Interment Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Paterson.
