Harold L. Holmes

Harold L. Holmes, 83, of Little Egg Harbor, formerly of Fairfield, passed away May 19, 2021. Born in Paterson, Mr. Holmes was raised on Hazel Street in Clifton. After marriage, he and his wife lived in Fairfield for 38 years before retiring to Little Egg Harbor 17 years ago. Before retirement, Mr. Holmes was a well-known and respected Landscape Architect Designer in the North Jersey area. Through the New Jersey Landscapers Association, Mr. Holmes won four Governor’s Trophies, the highest award, for landscape design.

            Survivors include: his beloved wife, Beverly (nee Takach); his son, Todd Holmes and his wife, Veronique of Chester; his daughter, Barbra Yuhas of Little Falls; four grandchildren, Shannon and his wife Colleen, Jon, Alyson and Leonardo; and two great-grandchildren, Logan and Connor.

            Memorial visiting will be held Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:30 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton.  The Funeral Service will commence at 7:30 pm.  Facemasks must be worn.
