Helen (nee De Luca) Del Favero, 94, of Clifton, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at home. Born in Passaic, Helen was a lifelong Clifton resident. Before her retirement, she was employed as a secretary at Sacred Heart R.C. Church in Clifton where she was a longtime faithful parishioner. Previous employment was with Prudential Insurance Co, in Newark as a stenographer, and Reed & Nottage Advertising Agency in Clifton.
Helen traveled for many years throughout the US, Canada, Europe, and the Caribbean. She especially enjoyed annual vacations in Wildwood Crest with a large group of family and friends. She stayed active well into her eighties, attending Clifton Senior "Stretch Classes", riding the stationary bike at her local gym, and taking monthly casino trips. Solving crossword puzzles was a favorite lifelong pastime for her.
Helen looked forward to family get-togethers for holidays, birthdays and other occasions. Cooking and baking for them was a labor of love for her. Her spinach gnocchi and manicotti are fondly remembered.
Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Albert Del Favero in 1995; her dear son, Alan Del Favero in 2022 and her brother, Roger De Luca in 2021.
Survivors include: her devoted daughters, Lorraine Paccioretti and her husband Dean, and Carol Hallock and her husband Tom; her daughter-in-law, Madhavi Del Favero; two loving granddaughters, Anna and Meera; her sister, Olga Moro; and her brothers, William De Luca and Roy De Luca.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 7, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 8:45 am from the funeral home followed by a 9:30 am Mass at St. Andrew the Apostle R.C. Church, 400 Mt. Prospect Avenue, Clifton. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 145 Randolph Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07011.
