Helen King

Helen (nee Palenski) King, 92, of Clifton, passed away on November 3, 2021. Born in Kearny, Mrs. King was raised in North Arlington and has resided in Clifton since 1968. She had been employed as a telephone operator with Bell Telephone Co. until the birth of her son. Helen enjoyed raising her son and then spending time with her grandchildren. She was proud of her home and was known to take on some of the maintenance herself. Helen was a faithful parishioner of St. George R.C. Church in Paterson until it closed.

            She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward David King, Sr. in 1999; and her eight brothers and sisters.

            Survivors include: her son, Edward David King, Jr. and his wife, Vivian of Oakland; three grandsons, Sean, Jake and Ty King; and nieces and nephews, Barbara Villa (Rick), Raymond Melillo (Janice), Linda Zadroga (Joseph) and the late Jackie Otiepka (Walter).

Visiting Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral Saturday 10:30 am from the funeral home followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
