Jaime Gallardo, 61, of New York City, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023. Born in Lima, Peru, Jaime came to the United States as a young adult and settled in Kearny. He had resided in Paterson before moving to New York City.  Jaime was very proud of his Peruvian heritage. He supported Peruvian activities and was especially happy to participate in Peruvian Day parades.  He was a self-employed disc jockey who enjoyed making music, putting it on USB drives and giving them to family and friends. 

He was predeceased by his father, Ernesto Gallardo.

Survivors include: his beloved daughter, Leylani Gallardo; two loving grandchildren, Leonel Tigre-Gallardo and Brianna Tigre-Gallardo;  his loving mother, Hilda (nee Cobos) Gallardo; six siblings, Hilda Matta, Karla Gallardo, Walter Gallardo, Kalyn Gallardo, Gerardo Gallardo and Lily Gallardo; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 31, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. The funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm.  Instead of sending flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice.
