Jeffrey S. O'Brien

Jeffrey S. O’Brien, 49, Captain of Woodland Park Police Department, passed away at home with his family by his side on Monday, November 21, 2022. Born in Paterson, Jeffrey was raised in Clifton where he was a 1991 graduate of Clifton High School. He then earned a Bachelors Degree from Montclair State University.  In 1995, Jeffrey moved to Woodland Park where he has lived since. He became a dedicated member of the Woodland Park Police Department in 2000 and rose to the rank of Captain.

Captain O’Brien was a member of the Woodland Park P.B.A. Local 173; the New Jersey State P.B.A. and the Passaic County Emerald Society. He was also a member of the Living Water Church of God in Woodland Park.

Survivors include: his beloved son, Sean V. O’Brien; his stepson, Victor Trzuskot; his parents, George F. and Dorothy (nee Lekston) O’Brien; his grandmother, Jeanne Lekston; his sister, Charlotte O’Brien; his brother, Daniel O’Brien and his wife, Caryn; and his nieces and nephews.

 Visitation will be held Sunday November 27, 2022 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. The funeral service will be held Monday, November 28, 2022 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Private cremation to follow.
