Joan (Elso) Masley

Joan Masley (nee Elso), a life-long resident of Clifton, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, March 10th, 2025, after a brief illness.‍ Joan was predeceased by her loving husband, Dr. Peter Masley.

Joan was a graduate of St. Paul School in Clifton and Clifton High School. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree at George Washington University and went on to a long career at Hoffman LaRoche in the pharmaceutical field.

Joan was an accomplished artist and a patron of the arts.  She loved oil painting and filled their home with original, botanical-themed art. Gardening was a passion for Joan and Peter and they could be seen daily for many years tending their beautiful gardens at their home.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 14th, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. A service will be held at 11:00 am followed by the interment in her family plot at Mount Hebron Cemetery in Upper Montclair.
