Joanne (Branche) Lucianin

Joanne (nee Branche) Lucianin, 89, of Essex Fells, formerly of Passaic, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024. Born in Cape Vincent, New York, Joanne was raised in Utica, NY before joining the United States Navy.  It was during her time in the Navy, while serving in California that she met the love of her life, Kenneth Lucianin. They married while in the Navy and served in Japan before being discharged.  Joanne resided in Passaic for most of her life and also maintained a summer residence at Culver Lake.  More recently, she has been residing in Essex Fells. Joanne had been a faithful parishioner of St. Clare R.C. Church in Clifton for many years.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Kenneth Lucianin in 2016; her son, Robert Lucianin in 2012; and her son-in-law, John Sobczyk in 2018.

Survivors include: nine children, Kenneth J. Lucianin (Lisa), David W. Lucianin (Grace), Gregg B. Lucianin (Anna), Wendy A. Sobczyk, Cathy M. Lucianin, Barbara E. Morris (Daniel), Judy L. Young (Brian), Deanna C. Lucianin, and Jeanna J. Lucianin (Dr. Robert Gajdos); ten loving grandchildren, Christopher Lucianin (Marissa Bruno), Kristina Sobczyk, John Sobczyk, Mia Fernandez, Nicole Lucianin, Kyle Lucianin, Sofia Lucianin, Joseph Lucianin, Dean Paine and Kenli Paine; one loving great-granddaughter, Quinn Lucianin; two dear sisters, Barbara Crossley (William) and Clare Tiller (William); and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday October 29, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 9:00 am from the funeral home followed by at 10:00 am Mass at St. Clare R.C. Church, 69 Allwood Road, Clifton. Entombment to follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Clare R.C.
